Rachel Pennacchio, MA  is the Discipleship Pastor at Simple Church.  Rachel also leads the efforts of my.simple.story., which is a division of real.simple.discipleship.  She believes God desires for His Church to express the depth of His Love by enabling them to live meaningful lives.   Rachel believes meaningful lives include conflict, hardship, and suffering, joy, triumph, and abundance.  Rachel is devoted to assisting others in rewriting their tragic stories to create beautiful, meaningful lives of God's providence and power.

Rachel is formally educated in psychology and counseling, and has worked with a variety of populations in the mental health field.  She currently works outside of Simple Church as a mental health clinician and is under professional supervision.  Rachel acknowledged a call to vocational ministry several years ago and surrendered to the opportunity God provided at Simple Church in 2013.  Rachel was commissioned to ministry by Simple Church and currently serves on staff part-time.  Rachel intends to attend theological seminary and become a full-time minister focusing on discipleship and writing.

 

Rachel lives in Rome with her daughter Giada.
